About me

I became interested in hypnotherapy for personal reasons as my sister is a practitioner. I was inspired by how rewarding and fulfilling she finds this way of helping people. When I read more about solution focused hypnotherapy, I was impressed by the supporting evidence base from the fields of Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience.

As a therapist I bring relevant academic knowledge, an evidence-based approach, a capacity to listen and to be responsive to what you want to achieve. I have degrees in Psychology, Cognitive Science and Education and extensive experience of working in corporate and educational environments.

I trained with the Clifton Practice (CPHT), a centre for excellence for solution-focused hypnotherapy training in the UK. This approach is positive, collaborative and forward-looking and builds on your resources for self-understanding and solution-finding.

Choosing a therapist is an important decision and you want to be confident you are working with someone who is well trained and compliant with professional, ethical and statutory frameworks. I am registered therapist with the National Hypnotherapy Council and you can find my full profile and Code of Practice on their website.
